A mobile device which is rumored to be the Verizon variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 was spotted in a benchmark report this week.
This smartphone features a 1.9 GHz Qualcomm (Snapdragon 600) processor with Adreno 320 and will be running on Android 4.2.1. This proves the previous rumors untrue which reported that the device would be having a Exynos chip and would be running on a 1.8 GHz CPU. Also, the device not running on the latest Android version (4.2.2) is quite a surprise!
The South Korean DDaily recently reported that Samsung has finalized the specs of this device and is ready to put the device in mass production. DDaily also had posted rumors which said that Samsung will be using the S Pen into the Galaxy S4. But now, the device is believed to have a “non-contact gesture” which again holds the S Pen rumor false.
According to AndroidAuthority, Samsung has selected Atmel’s maXTouch Series Touch for the Galaxy S4 which will provide superior touch performance by consuming less power and the ability to use gestures to use the smartphone. Also, the front camera of this phone is believed to be the gesture-sensor for the device which will consume very less power letting this technology to be practically used.
The other features of this device include a “minimum organic” human-centered UI which was introduced with the Galaxy S3, a 4.99-inch display with a 1920×1080 resolution and a 13-megapixel camera.
